Following the success of our inaugural ECG course in Birmingham, Medina Medical Education is pleased to present the second ECG Basics Course.
This comprehensive one-day programme is designed for clinicians who interpret ECGs in routine clinical practice. It focuses on building practical skills and clinical confidence through a structured, consultant-led approach to ECG analysis.
The course is delivered by eight experienced NHS Consultant Cardiologists and Physicians, offering expert teaching grounded in real-world clinical scenarios.
Course Content
Participants will develop the ability to:
– Recognise normal ECG features
– Assess heart rate and rhythm systematically
– Identify common arrhythmias
– Detect ECG patterns associated with myocardial ischaemia and infarction
– Recognise abnormalities requiring urgent escalation
– Make safe and appropriate clinical referral decisions
Course Format
The course is delivered in a hybrid format, allowing attendance either:
– In person at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, Birmingham
– Online via high-quality interactive streaming
