    On-Demand Course Details

All healthcare professionals stand to gain from better leadership and management in the healthcare industry. Patients gain from greater care, which results in better experiences and results. Team members of all ranks and responsibilities enjoy enhanced collaboration and performance. Organisations benefit from increased effectiveness, efficacy, and reputation. Additionally, a feeling of support, participation, and well-being is beneficial to doctors of all ranks.

The modern shared and distributed approach to leadership means that all doctors must play their part. This extensive, online, modular course helps you acquire the leadership and management abilities you need to be a doctor in the twenty-first century.

What is required, and why? What are the alternatives, and how are you currently addressing the challenges? What do you do well, and how could you do better?

With the help of our tutor faculty’s senior clinicians, we have produced guidance on how to integrate theory into routine practice, and we assist you in coming up with unique answers to the problems you face on a daily basis.

    Course Format

The course is broken down into 10 brief modules that last a combined 3 hours. As a result, you choose your approach based on your needs and situation. You have the option of finishing everything in one long session, or you can complete each module as time permits in a series of quick sessions. You have the choice. Your subscription gives you 120 days of access to the material. So, during that time, you are free to revisit the material as often as you like.

The course is made up of text to read, videos to watch, and exercises to complete. As you explore the theory, interactive infographics and animated demonstrations keep you interested. Senior physicians talk about their ideas, viewpoints, and experiences in documentary-style interviews. Additionally, you perform a number of reflective exercises. They allow you to identify pertinent and practical improvements by personalising your learning. Your digital workbook is where you keep track of your progress on these exercises. Within 10 days of receiving your digital workbook, we will then issue your completion certificate with 3 CPD points.

    Learning Outcomes

We start by thinking about the actual difficulties and benefits of effective medical management and leadership. We help you identify strategies to broaden your versatility for greater effectiveness after examining your current style. Then, a thorough investigation of team dynamics and development enables you to adopt the viewpoint of the people you lead.

Next, we look into strategies for achieving and maintaining high performance. We exchange useful tips for organising, planning, keeping track of development, and making sure change is implemented. These simple techniques can be used for both short-term tasks and large-scale change initiatives. Finally, you organise your ideas, create a reflective learning statement, and specify actions for improvement as the course comes to a close.

We know that you already have abilities, so the exercises within the course frequently challenges you to reflect on what you are doing well and how to improve. Our strategy is to meet you where you are and give you the tools you need to advance from there.

Is This Course Right for Me?

According to Good Medical Practice, all doctors require organisational and leadership skills. You must be adaptable and able to complete tasks while keeping others’ needs in mind. This holds true whether we are thinking about immediate problems or long-term strategic change.

Regardless of your grade or experience level, our course raises your awareness and advances you. Since it is appropriate for all levels, the Faculty of Medical Leadership & Management has accredited it for 3 CPD points. Whether you use it as a stand-alone activity or not, it provides you with a fantastic learning experience. You could also use it as an addition to any of our other teamwork, management, or medical leadership courses.

Numerous physicians present their certificate from this programme as verification of their leadership and management education. Therefore, if you are just starting out in your career, you can use it to support your application to programmes like CT, IMT, or ST. If more experienced, you can use it to earn your CESR or CCT. You could also just use it as a reference to support your annual review or for revalidation.
