This one-day Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) course is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of Tachycardia and Bradycardia algorithms in real-world settings. By the end of the course, participants will be confident in delivering high-quality advanced life support to adults, in line with Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) guidelines. It is particularly suited to clinicians working in critical care or emergency environments.

This course is intended for healthcare professionals actively involved in the management of cardiac arrests and critically ill patients, including:

  • Doctors, nurses, and paramedics (including those awaiting ALS certification)
  • Resuscitation officers and educators
  • Medical students
  • Clinical staff in:
    • Emergency Departments (ED)
    • Intensive Care Units (ICU/CCU/HDU)
    • Theatres and acute medical unit
    • ICU outreach or medical emergency teams

The ECC course provides essential training to help participants recognise, manage, and respond effectively to life-threatening cardiac emergencies in adults. Teaching is delivered through structured assessments and team-based scenarios, with a focus on ECG interpretation, defibrillation, cardioversion, and cardiac pacing techniques.

All of our clinical courses will be delivered with a Certificate of Achievement validated by NHS Consultants.
