The course is designed to provide surgeons with basic core knowledge and skills in ultrasound use. It will also cover relevant surgical topics, including:
- Abdominal ultrasound – including FAST, gallbladder scanning, and more
- Urology – renal tract imaging
- Orthopaedic – fractures, foreign body removal
- Paediatric Surgery – pyloric stenosis, intussusception, appendicitis
- Ultrasound guided procedures – vascular access, ultrasound assisted drainage
The course is suitable for junior registrars, core surgical trainees, surgical clinical fellows, and foundation doctors.
