Teach the Teacher Course for IMT & Other Specialties

Erudical's Teach the Teacher course is designed for busy UK doctors and healthcare professionals who want to develop their teaching skills and earn points for IMT, Core Training, and Specialty Training applications.

For £199, you get two courses in one, not an either/or: a full-day live online course (9:00 to 17:00) in a Gather Town virtual classroom, plus 20 self-paced modules. The price also includes a free place at the National Medical Education & Research Conference (NMERC), normally £149 on its own.

The live day features expert instruction with interactive group tasks and feedback. The self-paced modules cover 20 easily digestible topics over 6 weeks of access, via desktop, tablet, or mobile app. Modules can be downloaded for offline use, so they work on a commute or a night shift.

Topics include adult education theories, catering to different learning styles, developing effective aims and objectives, choosing methods of delivery, dealing with difficult students, giving effective feedback, and reflecting on teaching to evaluate effectiveness. The course focuses on practical teaching at the bedside, in small groups, through PowerPoint presentations, and in lectures.

NMERC runs online on Saturday 14 November, with oral and poster tracks. Abstract submission is free and closes 31 October. Students whose abstracts pass quality control can present nationally, which turns one teaching point into a route to up to nine points on IMT applications.

Assessment includes in-module and end-of-module quizzes, a final test, and up to two workplace-based assignments requiring evidence of teaching (feedback or reports). All completers receive an official certificate of completion. The live day is included and is what IMT requires for the teaching point.

Points Guarantee: If the teaching point isn't accepted on a UK application, Erudical refunds the full £199. Over eight years and 1,000+ doctors, no one has needed to claim. All 527 reviews are published at erudical.com/reviews.
