National Medical Education & Research Conference (NMERC) 2026

NMERC is a one-day national medical education and research conference held online on Saturday 14 November 2026, delivered in Gather Town — an immersive virtual space where you navigate your own character through the venue, attend presentations, and network with other attendees.

The conference runs two parallel tracks: a competitive oral presentation programme in the lecture hall, and an acceptance-based poster presentation track in the poster hall. Attendees can move freely between both rooms, join breakout tables, and participate in networking during breaks. All submitted abstracts are scored transparently against a published rubric covering originality, method, clarity of results, and relevance to medical education or clinical practice. Decisions on submissions are issued within five days on a rolling basis.

Attending the full day grants access to both rooms, all presentations, a certificate of attendance, and 6 CPD hours. Submission of an abstract is completely free, regardless of whether you attend the conference itself. Free attendance is available to anyone who has previously purchased the Erudical Teach the Teacher course.

The conference is particularly valuable for doctors in training (IMT/ST applicants) who wish to present research or educational work, earning up to 9 application points.

Erudical provides scoring guidance and certificates that meet recruitment evidence requirements, and attendees can amend their applications to include presentations given at the conference.
