OptimiseID is a comprehensive interview preparation course for doctors applying to Combined Infection Training (CIT). The course is designed to help you ace your virtual interview with structured preparation and expert feedback from ID Specialty Registrars. The 2026 package has been significantly upgraded and now includes multiple components beyond the traditional course format.
The course is built around four key pillars:
• Knowledge Updates — learn the essential facts and figures required for interview success
• Tips and Tricks — hear from top-ranking predecessors who have succeeded in CIT interviews
• Mock Station Answer and Feedback videos — test your understanding of common clinical scenarios before your full mock circuit
• Full Mock Circuit with a Registrar — practice with an experienced ID registrar who will provide detailed feedback on your performance
The content covers common clinical topics likely to appear in CIT interviews, delivered through clinical station questions, vignettes, podcasts, and an application form workshop. All materials are available online, and you'll have access to a full mock circuit with a registrar as the capstone of your preparation.
The course culminates in a live training event on 21st February 2026, where you will participate in interactive teaching and mock interviews with experienced ID SpRs. This is a specialist interview preparation course aimed at senior house officers and core trainees applying to specialty training in infectious diseases.
