Public Speaking & Advanced Presentation Skills Course for Doctors, Nurses & Healthcare Professionals (Online)

ISC Medical's online public speaking and advanced presentation skills course helps healthcare professionals develop strong presentational skills and unlock their potential as confident, relaxed and engaging public speakers. The course combines 16 computer-based self-paced online modules with a two-hour live online webinar (maximum 8 candidates), and you have 90 days' access to all online materials. Through the modules and webinar, learners will develop techniques to project their voice, structure engaging presentations, adapt their style to different audiences, handle nervousness, engage audiences, manage difficult questions, and deliver confidently in large presentations and intimidating meetings.

The course consists of sixteen modules covering introduction and overview, what makes a great presenter, the 6 steps to preparing a presentation, defining your purpose, connecting with your audience, audience behaviours, developing and selecting ideas, designing structure, handling questions, building confidence, maximising communication ability, using visual aids, effective rehearsal, dealing with problems, and additional resources. The content has been created and is delivered by experts in communication, often with backgrounds in acting and years of experience working with healthcare professionals.

All the techniques used in the course are well tried and tested and many are taught at acting and performance schools. The course combines plenary sessions and practical exercises to ensure learners can approach concepts from both theoretical and practical angles. The live online webinar acts as a validation tool, allowing ISC Medical to award the full 6 CPD points certificate. You have the opportunity to discuss all topics studied during the online modules and practise some techniques during the webinar.
