Medical Leadership & Management Course

A two-day leadership and management course designed for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who want to develop practical leadership skills and become more effective leaders in the NHS. Delivered live on Zoom, the course combines interactive workshops, group discussions, evidence-based frameworks and practical exercises that can be applied immediately in the workplace.

The course covers essential leadership and management topics including identifying your personal leadership style, emotional intelligence and self-awareness, building and motivating high-performing teams, coaching and mentoring skills, and leading change. Participants will develop strategies for influencing and leading change, managing conflict and challenging conversations, supporting colleague development, and creating positive team cultures. The course uses the NHS Healthcare Leadership Model and modern evidence-based management and leadership techniques.

The small group format (maximum 15 participants) ensures that discussions are rich and personalized, with each participant able to contribute on topics of personal interest. The delivery mixes plenary sessions, small group discussions, physical activities, videos and questionnaires to optimize the learning experience. Participants receive a comprehensive handbook and work with experienced trainers who have both management expertise and clinical relevance.
