About CriticalCareEcho
CriticalCareEcho delivers practical echocardiography training supporting the British Society of Echocardiography Level 1 accreditation pathway. Courses combine live scanning on GE machines, HeartWorks simulation, and case-based image interpretation in small groups (max 24 delegates) with personal feedback from experienced faculty.
Designed for doctors in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, and Acute and General Medicine with basic transthoracic echocardiography experience. The full-day in-person format includes supervised practical scanning, simulation, normal and abnormal image interpretation, and structured reporting practice. Course attendance supports preparation for BSE Level 1 assessment but does not itself confer accreditation. Includes lunch, refreshments, and pre-course learning materials.
