About this course
Get into ST1/IMT is a comprehensive 6-month online programme designed to help doctors secure specialist training posts in the NHS. Developed and run by Dr Aleem Ahmed, a Consultant in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine with extensive experience in medical education, the course combines personalised mentoring with structured group learning to prepare you for both the application and interview phases.
The programme is built around a rolling 6-month cycle, with each month delivering: a live teaching session (sometimes featuring guest specialist speakers), an implementation session to test your progress and learn alongside peers, and a dedicated 1-to-1 strategy session with Dr Aleem Ahmed. You'll also receive ongoing support, feedback and check-ins through the Med Success UK WhatsApp group.
Your personalised 1-to-1 sessions are tailored to your specific needs and include CV review and optimisation, personal development planning and tracking, mock interview simulations, interview coaching (techniques and answer structuring), course-correction strategy meetings, and career counselling.
