About this course
A half-day intensive preparation course for the MRCGP Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) examination, designed to help you assess readiness and focus final revision on difficult areas.
The course runs as a live-stream webinar (9:30am–1:30pm) and involves two timed teaching mocks with 80 realistic questions covering the same domain proportions as the real exam: 80% clinical, 10% evidence-based practice/statistics, and 10% organisational/admin. After each mock, comprehensive answers and rapid topic reviews cover key knowledge, current guidelines, and high-yield topics identified from examiner feedback.
Key features include:
• 80 questions across all three AKT domains in realistic exam-style format
• 2 timed teaching mocks simulating real exam pressure and screen layouts
• Over 80 high-yield topics summarized and covered
• Teaching slides and PDF topic reviews provided after each mock
• Free access to the recording for 1 month after the live session
• Interactive Q&A throughout the day
• Covers SBA, EMQ, MBA, picture, and short-answer question formats
• 3.5 CPD hours/credits awarded
The course is delivered by Dr Mahibur Rahman, a Portfolio GP in Birmingham and Consultant in Medical Education who has helped thousands of doctors succeed in membership examinations since 2006. Participants can attend from home and ask questions in real time. This format provides intensive learning with exam technique coaching on time management and keywords, helping you identify areas for focused final preparation and improve overall confidence.
