About this course
The MRCGP AKT Full Mock Crammer is a 1-day intensive preparation course for the MRCGP Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) examination. Delivered as a live stream webinar (9:30am–6:15pm), this course is designed to help GP trainees assess their readiness and improve exam technique under realistic, timed conditions.
The course features four teaching mocks covering 160 questions in the same proportion as the real AKT exam: 128 clinical, 16 evidence-based practice/statistics, and 16 organisational/admin questions. Each mock is followed by rapid topic reviews and discussion of key knowledge, current guidelines, and high-yield content. The course covers over 160 clinical topics alongside statistics and administrative/organisational knowledge, giving learners a clear picture of their performance and identifying areas to focus on in their final week of revision.
Delivered by Dr Mahibur Rahman, a Portfolio GP and Consultant in Medical Education with extensive experience helping doctors pass membership examinations, the course uses question formats matching the real exam (SBA, EMQ, MBA, picture questions, short answer) and provides practical exam technique tips on time management and keywords. After the course, learners receive free access to the Emedica AKT Mock Exam—a full 160-question mock in the current exam format with feedback and explanations (normally £30).
The course is available both as a standalone live stream option (£250) and as part of the AKT 500 Booster Bundle, which combines the full mock crammer with four additional webinar masterclasses (Statistics, Admin, 2x Clinical) and the full mock exam for £500 (saving £280 compared to booking separately). Learners can also access video recordings of the course for 1–12 months via subscription if they prefer to revise on-demand or cannot attend the live session.
