About this course
This one-day practical course is ideal for clinicians with little or no previous ultrasound experience. It provides a comprehensive introduction to obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound, focusing on the fundamentals of transabdominal (TA) and transvaginal (TV) scanning, image acquisition, and normal pelvic anatomy.
The course is taught through a combination of pre-course online learning videos, short focused lectures covering the fundamentals of obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound, and extensive hands-on scanning sessions. Practical elements include transabdominal ultrasound on simulators, manikins, and live models, plus transvaginal ultrasound on simulators and manikins.
