MRCPsychiatrist

MRCPsychiatrist is an independent online revision resource for UK psychiatry trainees preparing for the MRCPsych examinations (Paper A, Paper B and CASC). It offers 5,000 questions per paper mapped to the 2027 syllabus, delivered via an adaptive algorithm that covers all 680 syllabus points in exam proportions, with spaced-repetition scheduling for mistakes (7, 21-day reviews). All content is free to access with an account (500 free questions per paper, all CASC stations, full textbooks), with optional paid unlock at £99 per paper for six months.

The platform includes 137 CASC practice stations with peer-marking via shareable links, written textbooks for Paper A, B and CASC, and supplementary courses on statistics and ECG interpretation. Content is updated annually and written by named doctors including founding team Dr Raj Joshi (ST6), Dr PJ Wang (ST4), Dr Aadam Aziz (CT3) and Dr Aangelo Gurusinghe (CT3). The platform uses spaced-repetition and interleaved practice based on learning science, with gamification features (daily streaks, unlockable avatars) to sustain engagement.
