About this course
A one-day hands-on clinical course designed to give PACES candidates a true exam-day experience and the confidence to perform at their best. This intensive in-person course is held at the Clinical Skills Building, Salford Royal Hospital, and runs three times per year.
The course covers all five PACES stations with real patients under strict exam timings and conditions. Candidates examine real patients, experience timed stations mirroring the pressure and structure of the actual PACES exam, and receive direct instructor feedback from experienced clinicians and examiners. The small-group format ensures direct interaction with instructors, allowing for live corrections and personalized guidance during practice stations.
What's included:
• Examine real patients across all five PACES stations
• Real exam conditions with strict PACES timings
• Direct instructor feedback from specialist consultants
• Small groups for direct interaction and one-to-one feedback
• Stations scored as a real PACES exam
• Carefully selected patients and exam-style scenarios
This course is ideal for doctors who are about to sit their PACES exam, or who have previously failed and want hands-on practice with real patients under realistic exam conditions. Attendees consistently report gaining clarity on their weaknesses, building confidence in their clinical approach, and feeling prepared for exam day.
