Kung Medics FRCEM Career Day

The Kung Medics FRCEM Career Day is a free, interactive educational and professional-development event for doctors considering, planning or actively preparing for the FRCEM examinations. This structured guidance, mentorship and networking event is designed to help doctors understand the FRCEM journey and prepare more effectively, without being a full examination-preparation course.

The event brings together senior Emergency Medicine doctors, successful FRCEM candidates and experienced educators who share practical guidance based on their own examination journeys. Attendees can ask questions, discuss concerns, learn from colleagues working in different hospitals and develop a clearer, more realistic plan for their own FRCEM preparation.

The programme covers an overview of the FRCEM examination pathway, practical guidance on planning for written and OSCE components, common preparation mistakes and how to avoid them, choosing and using revision resources effectively, creating a realistic study timetable around clinical shifts, approaches to question banks and mock examinations, managing examination pressure, and opportunities for small-group discussions and mentoring. Interactive question-and-answer sessions and the development of a personal FRCEM preparation action plan are included.

Attendance is strictly limited to 50 candidates to preserve the interactive nature of the event and allow meaningful access to speakers and mentors. While attendance at the event is free, a £25 refundable reservation deposit is required at the time of booking to secure a place. An optional £25 voluntary contribution toward event costs is also available during booking.

Attendees who participate in the educational sessions and complete the event evaluation will receive a certificate of attendance confirming the educational hours completed. Participants may record the event within their personal CPD portfolio where the learning is relevant to their professional role and development needs.
