About this course
This is a comprehensive two-day online course focused on advances in understanding and management of ADHD in children and adolescents, run by Infomed Ltd. The course has been organized in response to calls from child and adolescent psychiatrists and paediatricians for a targeted update addressing the multifaceted needs of their professions.
The course combines interactive presentations with discussion and Q&A sessions. Topics covered include clinical assessment dilemmas, managing families with complex trauma, ADHD in children with intellectual disabilities, ADHD in looked-after and abused children, ADHD in liaison settings, comorbid ADHD and ASD, tics and Tourette's syndrome, ADHD medication and personalized care approaches, digital interventions, digital hazards and behavioral addictions, anxiety and behavioral management strategies, and transition to adult services. Sessions are delivered by leading experts from specialist NHS trusts including South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, University of Southampton, and University of Exeter.
By the end of the course, participants will have a deeper awareness of how ADHD may present in the context of complex comorbidities or challenging social contexts, and greater confidence in its management.
