northgatemed.co.ukFor course providers
Put your course in front of UK doctors at the moment they are planning their next step — inside the guides they read, the directory they search and the course pages they compare. Every placement is rendered in MedCourse’s own style, clearly labelled, and links straight to your website.
You choose a course to promote and where it should appear. We render it in five placements across the site from one set of creative. Each placement opens your website in a new tab, and every click is recorded against your sponsorship, so you see exactly what each placement sent you.
Choose your reach
One category, the whole site, or the homepage — see the options below.
Send one set of creative
An image, a headline, one line of copy and a button label. Or finished artwork, if you have it.
Approve the preview
We build the placements and send you a preview of every one before anything goes live.
Go live, see the clicks
Placements go live within a working day of approval. Clicks per placement are reported monthly.
Shown with an example sponsor. Your image, headline, copy and button replace the placeholders; the frame, label and layout are fixed so the units always look like part of MedCourse.
Where: inside our career and exam guides, after the first section. A second slot further down is available in longer guides.
Who sees it: doctors reading a guide while they revise or apply — the pages that carry most of our traffic. On phones this is the placement every reader sees.
Most departments now expect new registrars to scan confidently on day one. A course only counts if it is hands-on: a day of lectures with one demonstration probe is not the same as live scanning on every module.

Have finished artwork? The in-article card can also run your own 2:1 banner at full column width, with the offer, button and label kept as live text.
Where: the first card on page one of the directory and category pages you choose — for example the Ultrasound category, or the whole directory.
Who sees it: doctors comparing courses. Lower volume than the guides, but every visitor is shopping. Same size as its neighbours, with a gold border, a "Sponsored" pill and a direct link to your site.

Where: the row of similar courses at the foot of every course page in your category — hundreds of pages gathered into one placement.
Who sees it: a doctor who has just read a rival’s course page and is deciding. Never shown on your own pages, and never on the pages of providers who pay for a Premium listing.

Three ways to buy. All of them include the in-article card, the sidebar card, the pinned directory card and the course-page card; they differ in how much of the site they cover.

Each placement has two positions. Position 1 is the first card in a grid and the card after the first section of a guide; position 2 is the fifth card and a second card further down longer guides. Position 2 costs less and is the answer when position 1 in your category is already taken.
Quoted per sponsorship, as a fixed monthly fee or a commission on tracked sales, depending on your reach, position and term. Tell us the course and the audience you want and we will send a quote the same week.
One set of assets covers every placement. We render the headline, copy and button as live text beside your image, so it reflows on phones, stays sharp and is read by search engines.
Image. Landscape 2:1, 1200 × 600 px. JPG, PNG or WebP, under 400 KB. Keep anything important inside the central 1080 × 540. A photo or clean graphic with little or no text works best.
Headline. Up to 60 characters.
One line of copy. Up to 140 characters.
Button label. Up to 20 characters — "See dates", "View course", "Try for free".
Landing page. The page on your site that clicks should open. We add your tracking parameters.
Offer code (optional). A discount code for MedCourse readers. It appears on every placement and in a copy-to-clipboard box on your own course page.
Finished artwork (optional). A 2:1 banner with your own headline and price for the in-article card and the homepage band. Small print is unreadable on phones, so we still show your one-line copy as text underneath.
Not supported: animated GIFs, HTML or script banners, third-party tracking pixels, multiple banner sizes.
If you give MedCourse readers a code, we show it next to the “Visit course” button on your own course listing too, with a copy button. Redemptions give you an exact count of what the sponsorship produced.

Tell us the course you want to promote and who should see it. We will reply with a quote, the guides and category pages it would cover, and a preview once you send creative.
