Make a Medic is a charitable incorporated organisation that is run by a group of UK-based medical students and junior doctors. We acknowledge that medical theory is universal, but resources are limited for medical students in less affluent regions of the world. Our main objective is to manage initiatives that support these medical students’ education so they are better equipped to address the health needs of their larger communities.

For UK medical students, we offer affordable courses and educational materials, and the money we make goes to support medical education programmes in low- and middle-income nations. We’ve supported training programmes in vaccination in Uganda, donated stethoscopes to Kenya and Zambia, and sent a shipment of several hundred textbooks to Sri Lanka, among other past and present initiatives.

Although learning medicine is challenging, having access to excellent resources can ease a student’s path to becoming an accomplished and self-assured doctor. Students who take advantage of our resources and enrol in our courses will not only broaden their knowledge and gain confidence, but they will also support the advancement of their global counterparts.
