BOX Courses and POCUS Frimley are joining forces to set a new standard in Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) education as Complete POCUS Training. We aim to elevate patient care by enhancing ultrasound skills among healthcare providers. This partnership combines small-group, hands-on training with lectures available online beforehand or delivered on the day of the course.

Andrew Walden is a Consultant in Acute and Intensive Care Medicine with a longstanding interest in POCUS, dating back to 2008. He played a key role in developing the Focused Ultrasound in Intensive Care (FUSIC) competencies and served as chair of the Focused Acute Medicine Ultrasound (FAMUS) committee from 2016 to 2018. Dr. Walden has extensively published on lung ultrasound, including its applications in resource-limited settings. A strong advocate for POCUS, he believes it significantly enhances patient care and flow and champions a multidisciplinary approach to its implementation.
Lorenzo Cristoni is a Consultant in Acute Medicine at Frimley Park Hospital.
A dedicated mentor in FICE, FUSIC, and FAMUS, he brings 20 years of experience in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and is committed to promoting POCUS as the “fifth pillar” of clinical examination across the courses he teaches.
He is an expert in abdominal ultrasound, with a particular focus on intestinal imaging, as well as the integrated heart-lung-IVC sonographic approach for acutely unwell patients.
