Blended Learning UK was founded by Professors Pereira and Leinster and is based at James Paget University Hospital (JPUH) NHS Trust, which provided the initial funding for this ground-breaking online education initiative in 2010.
Our roots lie in the strong partnership between JPUH and the University of East Anglia (UEA), known for delivering high-quality education to healthcare professionals. In 2011, a dedicated team from JPUH collaborated with UEA to launch the internationally renowned Master’s Degree in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. This innovative online programme, currently led by Associate Professor Sue Down, has earned numerous awards and empowered surgeons worldwide by enhancing their knowledge and improving patient care.
Today, we are global leaders in blended learning, with over a decade of experience in delivering cutting-edge Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and Master’s level courses across various healthcare disciplines.
Our diverse team includes educationalists, surgeons, physicians, nursing practitioners, and technologists, all closely connected to UEA. Our pioneering work in online education, incorporating immersive technology, has garnered international recognition and endorsements from professional and educational associations across the UK, India, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia.
Recognised as a Centre of Excellence by Healthcare UK (NHS), we are proud of our consistently outstanding student feedback—90% satisfaction—and the positive impact our courses have on clinical practice.
