On-Demand Course Details
In the present era of specialist teams, multidisciplinary teams, and the integration of healthcare and social care, team communication is a crucial ability. When you work with people who have different interests, needs, or priorities, difficult talks frequently arise.
Our main goal in this interactive, modular online course is to help you become better at handling obstacles. We help you reflect on how you now address certain circumstances, expose you to fresh concepts, and make sense of how to put theory into practical use.
Course Format
There are 5 brief modules in the course, and it will take you about 2 hours to complete them all. You have videos to watch, text to read and exercises to complete. As you learn the theory, interactive elements and exercises keep you interested.
You will see two doctors, Douglas and Magdalena, address the same conversation in various ways along the road. Will they ever get it right?
Additionally, you will complete a number of introspective exercises that are intended to personalise your learning and help you pinpoint doable improvements. You document your work in the accompanying digital workbook so that it will be available for future use. Within 10 days of receiving your completed workbook, we will issue your certificate for 2 CPD points.
What Will I Learn?
- We start by examining negotiation. How do you and the people you work with normally handle situations where your priorities, interests, and needs differ? You learn where we all frequently make mistakes and then some more practical strategies.
- Next, we discuss challenging conversations. Why do they initially start to cause problems? How can you prevent this and take quick action to promote constructive interactions?
- Next up on the agenda is conflict. What are the catalysts that turn tense conversations into scenarios where there is conflict and people harden their positions? How does your individual attitude affect your actions? We also look at the variety of options you have for strategies.
- Influence is the last subject. How can you influence events in a positive way?
