This online workshop will cover the most common consent-related questions that MDDUS receives from doctors.
Topics will include:
- Forms of consent
- Responsibility and delegation of consent
- Withholding consent
- Mental capacity and consent
- Consent in children and young people
- Legally valid proxies, advance decisions, and consent in emergency situations
The workshop will be led by MDDUS medico-legal adviser Dr Myooran Nathan and risk adviser Alan Frame. The format will include guided instruction, case studies, and breakout activities.
This course is suitable for all doctors and physician assistants and is accredited for 3 CPD credits.
