November 6 @ 9:15 am – November 7 @ 5:00 pm BST
Over the past year, 2,000 doctors have taken our 2-day Teach the Teacher for Doctors (Train the Trainer Course for Doctors) course. We conduct courses in the UK and in our virtual training rooms every week.
We examine formal teaching theories, principles, and tools in the Teach the Teacher Course for Doctors. The training is interactive because it is conducted in small groups.
Over the course of the two days, your tutor starts by introducing you to some established ideas. They assist you in conducting a one-on-one teaching session before leading a small group tutorial. This increases your self-assurance and gives you practice using the theory you have learned.
Then you prepare and deliver a longer teaching session to the entire group ed while working in a small team. We go into great detail about the various strategies needed for each of these circumstances with a focus on your particular needs. This implies that you gain knowledge by giving and receiving feedback during your own teaching sessions.
Additionally, you gain knowledge from watching your fellow delegates teach, and your tutor will encourage you to practise providing constructive criticism.
What support materials are provided?
Even after the event, we support your learning. This is consistent with the values that we teach you during the course. Each participant in the Teach the Teacher course will receive a copy of our best-selling Teaching Skills for Doctors manual (120 pages; £49.99 suggested retail price).
When you register for a course in the Virtual Training Room, you will receive both the digital and print versions of this. This serves as a valuable resource for future use and is used to support your learning during the course.
In the weeks and months following the event, we also send you a series of Top Tips for Great Teaching Practice via email.
This event is credited for 12 CPD points.
