April 24 @ 8:30 am – April 25 @ 5:45 pm BST

This two-day consultant-led course focuses on the basic science, clinical assessment, and surgical techniques for primary hip and knee replacements, specifically designed for trainees (ST3–ST8). Each morning will feature a series of short lectures (15–20 minutes), while the afternoons will be dedicated to sawbone workshops.
Although the course is not specifically aimed at exam preparation, all lectures will align with the knowledge required for the FRCS exam. Participants will also have the chance to practise primary hip and knee replacements during the sawbone workshop stations. By the end of the course, attendees will have a solid foundation in the principles of primary arthroplasty.
