Do you want to understand why you sometimes behave in unhelpful or destructive ways with certain people, but not others?

Would you like to change the way you approach situations or individuals that you find frustrating, anxiety-provoking, or challenging?

Have you ever experienced a situation with a patient or colleague that made you behave out of character, lose empathy, or become upset?

Would you like to help a colleague understand their behaviour or communication that is causing problems for others on the team?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this interactive, reflective, and challenging course might be for you.

Through a mix of presentations and small group work, this course will help you understand the benefits of enhanced self-reflection, both after challenging events and in the moment. Real-time reflection can be very valuable in reducing risk and preventing unhelpful responses or actions.

The three key skills involved in enhanced self-reflection will be discussed, explored, and practiced using your own scenarios. This will help you increase your awareness, take control, and reflect rather than react.

This course is suitable for any healthcare professional and will be run as a small group-based, interactive workshop led by Liz Price, Head of Training, CPD and Risk Advisory Services at MDDUS.

This course has been accredited by The Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians for 3 CPD credits.
