The Royal College Advanced Certificate in Clinical Education online course is designed to cover all essential trainer prerequisites, offering tailored learning opportunities for experienced trainers. With a focus on applying relevant educational theory to clinical education practice, this course equips delegates to enhance their teaching methodologies effectively.
Accreditation
The course comprehensively addresses the GMC 2016 guideline competency framework and may lead to the award of up to 10 credits towards further study on the University of Dundee’s Certificate/Diploma/Master of Medical Education (MMEd) programme.

The programme includes:
- Teachers and Teaching: Principles and practice
- Learners and Learning: Principles and practice
- Applying education theory in practice (including learning outcomes)
- Delivery approaches
- Current trends in feedback in medical education
- Introduction to educational supervision
- Introduction to assessment
- Learning and teaching professionalism
Dates and Times
- Wednesday 18 September 2024, 14.00-15.00: Introductory live online session
- Wednesday 2 October 2024: Live small-group interactive sessions
Participants can choose from two time slots for the interactive session on Wednesday 2 October: 09.30-12.30 or 14.00-17.00. Slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact the course coordinator to book your preferred session.
