This comprehensive and intensive workshop is designed to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for percutaneous tracheostomy insertion and management in critically ill patients.

Who is the course for?

Senior trainees, registrars, and consultants in anaesthetics or ICU seeking to learn the safe insertion and management of percutaneous tracheostomies.

Course Format:

  • Online pre-recorded lectures to be viewed prior to the course.
  • A manual will be sent out before the course.
  • On the course day, a half-day of practical sessions in small groups.

By the end of the workshop, participants should be able to demonstrate the practical skills required for endoscopic-guided percutaneous tracheostomy placement and manage emergency complications in simulated conditions.
