Join us for our inaugural Ophthalmology Conference where we will discuss and further our understanding of the eye in systemic disease. This one-day event will feature specialists in a wide scope of fields including ophthalmologists, neurologists, physicians and paediatricians.
Offering the opportunity for interdisciplinary discussion and learning, topics on the day will include giant cell arteritis, multiple sclerosis, orbital infections and orbital trauma. This event will be of interest to both ophthalmologists and non-ophthalmologists, as well as those in paediatrics, rheumatology, neurology, maxillofacial, ENT and general medicine.
Aims and outcomes:
- Have an understanding of the clinical features, investigation (including TAB) and treatment of giant cell arteritis, including new modalities
- Appreciate how multiple sclerosis may present in the eye and have an overview of treatment
- Be able to recognise clinical manifestations of orbital infections and trauma in both adults and children and have an improved knowledge of treatment options
