This full-day course is designed for clinicians who already have some experience in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound, either through our introductory training or previous clinical practice. It dives deeper into scanning at various stages of pregnancy and in recognising a range of gynaecological and obstetric pathologies. Training includes both transabdominal (on human volunteers, including pregnant women, and simulators) and transvaginal (on manikins only) techniques.
What you’ll learn:
- Gynaecological assessment of the pelvic structures using TA and TV scanning techniques (TV on manikins only)
- Recognising common gynaecological pathologies
- Assessment of early pregnancy with ultrasound
- Assessment of late pregnancy with ultrasound including lie, presentation, fetal heart, multiple pregnancy, placental position, liquor volume, and biometrics
