This interactive course is for doctors and dentists who are or want to be leaders. It will help you understand the role of emotions in patient safety and team well-being. You will learn how to recognize and manage your own emotions, and how to use them to influence and improve team dynamics.
We will also discuss the link between toxic emotions and risk. Specifically, we will explore:
- The role of people who can manage toxic emotions in teams
- The impact of toxic emotions on clinical interactions
- How understanding and managing toxic emotions can reduce risk
The course includes a mix of presentations and small/whole group discussions. You will be encouraged to share your own experiences and good practices.
This course is accredited for 3 CPD credits by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians.
