Join us for this one-day, in-person cadaver course at the Clinical Anatomy Skills Centre (CASC), located within the University of Glasgow.
This masterclass focuses on abdominal wall surgery and the dissemination of best practices in hernia management. Participants will develop intermediate-level skills in both open and laparoscopic hernia procedures, alongside anatomical dissection and hernia repair techniques.
The course supports surgical and medical training curricula in abdominal wall reconstruction and general surgery, while also contributing to the ongoing professional development of practising surgeons. The programme combines expert-led lectures with extensive hands-on dissection and surgical practice.
Course Content
•Lectures on surgical techniques and Botox (US)
•Step-by-step TAPP and TEP (inguinal hernia repair)
•PUMP: Umbilical and epigastric hernia repair
•Laparotomy and small-bite closure techniques
•Step-by-step Rives-Stoppa procedure
•Introduction to TAR (posterior component separation)
