FUSIC Heart Course Series | Complete POCUS

A half-day session (AM or PM) learning the FUSIC Heart (Focused Medicine in Intensive Care – Heart) POCUS modality, delivered at the Thames Lido in Reading.
This course focuses on bedside assessment of the heart, providing a method to quickly assess heart function with a focused transthoracic echocardiography.

Target audience:
All clinicians interested in Point of Care Ultrasound, including ACPs and PAs.
Aims:
- Establish your skills to deliver a focused bedside US study in unwell patients.
- Learn an approach to focused bedside transthoracic echocardiogram
- Pre-course learning: e-learning package and online lectures
Sessions:
- Small teaching groups (3 per group) to maximise scanning time with state-of-the-art US machines.
- Expert faculty from Intensive Care, Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
- Half-day of non-stop practice on models, simulated clinical scenarios and high-fidelity phantoms.
