FAMUS / FUSIC Course Series | POCUS Frimley

A half-day session (AM or PM) learning the FAMUS (Focused Acute Medicine Ultrasound) / FUSIC (Focused Ultrasound in Intensive Care) POCUS modalities, delivered at Lakeside International Hotel in Frimley Green.
This course focuses on bedside assessment of the lungs, abdomen, vascular access, and ruling out DVT.

Target audience:
All clinicians interested in Point of Care Ultrasound, including ACPs and PAs.
Aims:
- Establish your skills to deliver a focused bedside US study in unwell patients.
- Focus on the triple scan approach (HeartLung-IVC) to dyspnoea.
- Pre-course learning: e-learning package and online lectures
Sessions:
- Small teaching groups (3 per group) to maximise scanning time with state-of-the-art US machines.
- Expert faculty from Intensive Care, Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
- Half-day of non-stop practice on models, simulated clinical scenarios and high-fidelity phantoms.
