Join Endeavour’s expert faculty in the stunning French Alps of Morzine for a comprehensive and hands-on approach to expedition medicine.
This course takes a holistic approach to expedition medicine, covering topics such as:
- Preparing for an expedition
- Medico-legal aspects of expedition medicine
- Public health
- Medical kits
- Leadership
- Environmental factors, such as altitude, cold, heat, tropical medicine, and diving
- Analgesia in remote locations
- Trauma in remote settings
- Mental health considerations
- Expedition nutrition
- Global health and sustainability on expedition
- Expeditions post-COVID
The course will be delivered through a combination of lectures, workshops, and scenarios. You will have the opportunity to learn from Endeavour’s experienced faculty, as well as from your fellow participants.
The beautiful location of Morzine offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, such as skiing, hiking, cross-country skiing, and randonnee. You will stay in a fully catered chalet, where you can relax and socialize with your fellow participants.
The course is 5 days long, and includes:
- One day of pre-course lectures, available online
- Four days of practical training in Morzine
- Luxury all-inclusive chalet accommodation with hot tub, meals, and wine
