Performing cranial surgery can be a challenging task for a Neurosurgical Registrar, given the complexity and importance of the brain’s vital structures. This is entirely understandable. However, with effective training and hands-on cadaveric experience, you can build confidence in both your abilities and surgical techniques.

This course is designed to enhance your knowledge of cranial approaches, familiarise you with key anatomical structures, and provide hands-on experience with the instruments currently used in neurosurgery, as well as those that will shape its future.

Over two days, the course will offer interactive cadaveric work under expert guidance, allowing trainees to gain practical experience in drilling and the microsurgical skills essential for cranial approaches.

An expert faculty will be available to provide comprehensive overviews and assist with the interactive elements, fostering productive dialogue between consultants and trainees.

Course Content:

  • In-depth anatomical understanding of cranial approaches
  • Hands-on cadaveric surgery
  • Top tips for success
  • Familiarisation with instruments and microscopes
