This two-day immersive programme has been expertly designed by our faculty, comprising specialists with core FUSIC, BSE, and ESC qualifications.
Day One:
The first day offers an in-depth exploration of theoretical foundations through online lectures. Topics covered include:
- Physics and machine/image optimisation
- Sonoanatomy
- Ultrasound modalities (2-D and M-mode)
- Basic measurements
- Haemodynamic assessment
- Clinical scenarios in intensive care
- Echo report writing
- A step-by-step overview of the FUSIC process, equipping trainees to achieve full core FUSIC qualifications
Day Two:
The second day focuses on practical application through hands-on ultrasound scanning in small groups. These sessions are designed to reinforce theoretical knowledge, with participants receiving personalised supervision from experienced faculty. Each workstation accommodates no more than four delegates, ensuring tailored guidance and an enriched learning experience.
