November 29 @ 9:30 am – 5:00 pm GMT
This hands-on workshop is designed for breast surgeons and members of the breast surgical team interested in incorporating ultrasound into their routine interventional practice. Participants will gain practical experience using both standard ultrasound equipment and the Clarius probe, a portable device.
The workshop complements the theoretical content of the BLUK Breast Ultrasound module but can also be taken as a stand-alone option. It includes stations on standard breast and axillary ultrasound examinations using live models, and ultrasound-guided cyst aspiration and core biopsy using simulators.
Summary
The workshop will provide an overview of the value of breast ultrasound in surgical practice, presented from both radiology and surgical perspectives. Introductory lectures will offer insights into how breast ultrasound can enhance day-to-day clinical practice. Please note that this course offers an introduction to the applications of breast ultrasound in surgery; formal accreditation is required to practice breast ultrasound independently.

Disclaimer
Blended Learning UK courses promote evidence-based clinical practice, encouraging students to develop their critical thinking. Our learning packages are designed to facilitate the application of theoretical knowledge to contemporary clinical practice. Upon completion, participants will receive CPD certification or university credits, depending on the programme. However, successful completion does not grant accreditation for independent clinical practice, which is typically provided by the relevant professional bodies or institutions in your healthcare discipline.
