This two-day cadaver course offers intensive hands-on training in upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery for surgical trainees.
The course begins with brief lectures on the operative techniques for each procedure, followed by practical experience using fresh frozen cadaveric material in small groups. This format ensures that trainees understand the principles behind each operation and can apply them effectively
The faculty includes colorectal and upper gastrointestinal surgeons, facilitating direct interaction to enhance learning opportunities. Additionally, a clinical anatomist may be available to clarify the anatomical principles involved in each procedure.
